John Arthur Kinsey of 2954 S. Southwood Drive, Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at his residence at the age of 82.
He was born on March 27, 1930 in Claypool, Indiana to Arthur Kinsey and Clarice (Jones) Kinsey. On August 17, 1952 he was married to Donna Lou Randels, who survives.
John was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where he was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was a 1948 graduate of Claypool High School, Claypool, Indiana, he then served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953. He worked as a barber for over 60 years, beginning in 1948 and working until December 2011 when ill health prevented him from doing so. He served on the Kosciusko County Council from 1990 to present, as well as being a member of the Elks Lodge #802 and the American Legion Post #49, both of Warsaw.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Donna Kinsey (Warsaw, Indiana); one son: Steve (wife Barbara) Kinsey (Franklin, Indiana); two daughters: Cathy (husband Joseph) Cooper (Murfreesboro, Tennessee); Linda (husband Alex) Prokai (Carmel, Indiana); thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister: Carol (husband Leroy) Rapp (Warsaw, Indiana). He was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.
Friends are asked to join the family to celebrate his life at a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 South High Street, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Erik Ohman. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana.
Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
