Earl “Gene” Fancil passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 4:26 a.m. at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, Indiana at the age of 67.
Gene was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 49 years. He was a graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester, Indiana. He spent 30 years as a Warsaw Firefighter, and during this time he worked as a self employed carpenter. He was a cabinet and furniture maker, and was known for his great carpenter skills. As a hobby he loved to fish for carp.
He was born on March 24, 1945 in Rochester, Indiana to Pearl Elenore Fancil. He was married on July 12, 1986 in Warsaw, Indiana to Sherry Lynn Neer, who survives in Warsaw, Indiana.
He also leaves behind his son: Christopher (wife Janelle) Fancil (Syracuse, Indiana); and two grandchildren: Tess and Sydney Fancil. He was preceded in death by his parents
No visitation or services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
