Donna May Woodling of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 5:10 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at her residence at the age of 85.
She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a homemaker and worked for many years taking care of children. She attended high school in Tipton County, Indiana, was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Claypool, Indiana; and was very active at the Senior Activity Center.
She was born on July 13, 1927 in Kokomo, Indiana to Virgil Otto Smith and Dorotha May (Bentley) Smith. She was married in 1947 to John J. Reed, who passed away in August 1961. She then was re-married in November 1964 to Kenneth Duane “Bing” Woodling, who passed away in August 1977.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Dana Reed (Delphos, Ohio); Mark (wife Cynthia) Reed (Warsaw, Indiana); three daughters: Gayle (husband David) Woodling (Warsaw, Indiana); Nancy Reed (Fort Wayne, Indiana); Amy (husband Bill) Smith (Baytown, Texas); twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind five brothers: Richard Smith (Rochester, Indiana); Bill (wife Amy) Smith (Baytown, Texas); Clarence (wife Shirley) Smith (Smithville, Tennessee); Dean Smith (Frankfort, Ohio); Keith (wife Sandy) Smith (Warsaw, Indiana); five sisters: Eileen Warren (Granger, Indiana); Maxine Hepburn (Warsaw, Indiana); June Ann Senff (Mentone, Indiana); Beverly (husband Frank) Tackett (South Whitley, Indiana); and Ruth Timreck (Warsaw, Indiana). She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one daughter, one grandson, two brothers, and an infant brother and sister.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Redpath – Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Bob Brown and Pastor Richard Campbell. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial donations in Donna’s name may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, Hospice House, 22579 Old US 20E, Elkhart, Indiana 46516; or to the charity of one’s choice, and would be appreciated by her family.
