Bethany Mae Fluke of Winona Lake, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 24, 2024. She passed away at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 45.
She was born on November 10, 1978, in Warsaw, Indiana to Don and Cindi (Herman) Fluke. Bethany was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a 1997 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, attended Grace College in Winona Lake, and was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, where she enjoyed attending with her family.
Bethany dedicated most of her life fearlessly fighting against epilepsy. She led the way in pioneering treatments and research for epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic, all while maintaining a steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus.
She will forever be lovingly remembered by her parents, Don and Cindi Fluke (Winona Lake, IN); sister, Kim (Jared) Meidal (Mainville, OH); and her grandfather, Ken Herman. Also surviving are three nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her favorite Corgi, Jimmie Bean. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Max Fluke in 2014, Mary Ellen Fluke in 2015; and her maternal grandmother, Kathryn “Kathy” Herman in 2016.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Bethany’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow and Pastor John Teevan. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Indiana with a private family graveside service.
Memorial contributions in Bethany’s memory should be payable to the "Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center" and may be given to the funeral home or the church. Bethany's parents will deliver the gifts to the Center personally at a later date.
