A. Dean Timbers of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 12:30 a.m. at his residence at the age of 87.

He was born on March 20, 1930 in Rochester, Indiana to Robert L. Timbers and Edna (Reese) Timbers.  On May 2, 1970 he was married to Peggy Ann (Scott) Timbers, who survives.

Dean was a 1946 graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester, Indiana.  He joined the U.S. Army and inducted into service on March 13, 1951.  He served during the Korean Conflict and was wounded during his time as an Army Photographer and awarded the Purple Heart.  He was honorably discharged in 1953.  Dean was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 52 years.  After returning home from Korea, he worked in photography and managed the Lake Theater in Warsaw from 1955-1969.  In 1969, he started at Kimble Glass in quality control until retirement in 1995.  His hobbies were fishing, photography, and playing pool with his brother-in-law Dick.  Dean really loved his cats, Bruce and Kitty, but more than anything, he especially loved his family.  He will be dearly missed by everyone.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Ann Timbers (Warsaw, Indiana); two daughters:  Suzanne (John) Flory (Warsaw, Indiana); Kasey (Jim Mobley) Zazarine (Mulberry, New Jersey); grandson:  Jordan Timbers (Warsaw, Indiana); sister:  Joyce Clark (Russiaville, Indiana); sister-in-Law:  Julia Timbers (Warren, Indiana); and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers:  Robert, Clair, and John Timbers.           

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.  No service is planned, burial will follow at a later date at Palestine Cemetery in Palestine, Indiana.

Memorial donations in Dean’s name may directed to the charity of your choice, and would be appreciated by the family.
