Bonnie Marie Merritt

Bonnie Marie Merritt of Pierceton, Indiana went home to be with the Lord at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at her residence at the age of 81.

She was born on September 2, 1936 in North Manchester, Indiana to Arnold Roxy Eubank and Catherine Marie (Grossnickle) Eubank.  On August 5, 1955 in North Manchester, Indiana she was married to James Oscar Merritt, who passed away on April 12, 2013.  They were married for 58 years. 

Bonnie was a 1954 graduate of Central High School in North Manchester, Indiana.  She was a hard worker her entire life and along with her husband, she helped to provide for her family.  Over the years she had worked in various factories, and was also a cook at Central Jr. High in North Manchester.  She was a member of Lakeland Grace Brethren Church of Warsaw.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters:  Christine (husband Jeff) Rodgers (Roseburg, Oregon); Barbara (husband Scott) Dawes (Urbana, Indiana); two sons:  Michael (wife Cindy) Merritt (Turner, Oregon); David L. Merritt (Pierceton, Indiana); and her son-in-Law:  Doug Davenport (Prairie Grove, Arkansas).  She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and her sister:  Ethel (husband Ernie) MacQuiery (Florida).  She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, brother James Eubank, and her daughter Cathy Davenport in 2014.           

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeland Grace Brethren Church, 2538 South County Farm Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Russell Simpson.  A graveside service will follow at Ulrey Memorial Cemetery in Silver Lake, Indiana.
