David Alexander Hutton of Winona Lake, Indiana passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Grace Village Health Care in Winona Lake at the age of 91.
He was born on October 5, 1926 to Robert Andrew Hutton and Alice (Wilson) Hutton. On July 1, 1950 he was married to Shirley Jean (Weber) Hutton. They shared 54 years of marriage before she passed away on October 15, 2004.
David was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 5 years where he attended Pleasant View Bible Church of Warsaw. He was a 1944 graduate of Bogart High School in Buffalo, New York. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953. David received the Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars. He worked as a dry cleaner and in industrial sales for 37 years in Buffalo, New York and Rochester, New York. He enjoyed helping at Kalamazoo Gospel Mission in Kalamazoo, Michigan and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son: David (wife Donna) Hutton (Wilmington, Delaware); daughter: Diane (husband James) Myers (Winona Lake, Indiana); four grandchildren: Christina (husband James) Gilliland (Mount Prospect, Illinois); Daniel Hutton (Wilmington, Delaware); Jason (wife Lisa) Myers (Greensboro, North Carolina); Janelle Myers (Winona Lake, Indiana); and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Schoolcraft Township Cemetery in Schoolcraft, Michigan officiated by Pastor Steve Nichols with full military rites. Arrangements were entrusted with Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana.
