Geraldine “Gerry” Lucille Hawley of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at her residence at 11:01 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 87.
She was born on May 26, 1930 in Burket, Indiana to Mace Allen Holloway and Ida Pearl (Matthews) Holloway. On June 13, 1953 in Warsaw she was married to Robert Louis Hawley, who survives.
Gerry was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a 1948 graduate of Burket High School, and she had lived on the family farm from 1962 until her passing. She was an Indiana University basketball fan, a bowler, cake decorator, seamstress and gardener. Most of all she especially loved her children and grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Robert Louis Hawley (Warsaw, Indiana); and her three sons: Dave (wife Teresa) Hawley (Sanford, North Carolina); Tim (wife Deb) Hawley (Warsaw, Indiana); Jeff (wife Lisa) Hawley (Claypool, Indiana). Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Jason Hawley, Amy Goodwin, Meredith Cowan, Morgan Roberts, Jenell Lehman, Stephanie Hawley, Carrie Clevenger, Maryssa Hawley, Kevin Hawley, and Jared Hawley; ten great-grandchildren: Makayla Hawley, Alexis Hawley, Blake Hawley, Lauren Goodwin, Ryleigh Goodwin, Beatrice Lehman, Jaxx Brigman, Roman Brigman, Cannon Cowan, and Carter Cowan; and her sister: Mary Phillips (Warsaw, Indiana). She was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael S. Hawley in 2008; three sisters: Margaret Zartman, Loretta Holloway, Marilyn Hall; and three brothers: Charles "Chuck", Nelson "Nel", and Arden "Greek" Holloway.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Chaplain Ben Pippen. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
