Hei Hatcher Obituary

Hei Hatcher of Warsaw, Indiana passed away after a long illness at 7:11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana  at the age of 39.

She was born on April 8, 1980 in Seoul, South Korea to Sook Kyung (Kim) Cho and Kyung Hwan Cho.  On May 10, 2008 she was married to Derek Steven Hatcher.

Hei graduated from high school in Leonia, New Jersey in 1998.  She moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana in 2002 and attended Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW).  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2013 in nursing.  She enjoyed working at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne until her retirement due to illness in 2017.  Hei was full of life and enjoyed playing video games, reading, cooking and she had a great love for her cats.  Most of all her beautiful soul will be forever missed by her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 11 years, Derek Steven Hatcher (Warsaw, Indiana); her mother:  Sook Kyung Cho (Palisades Park, New Jersey); brother:  Don (Sue Ann) Cho (Fair Lawn, New Jersey); father and mother-in-Law:  James and Ann Hatcher (Leesburg, Indiana); and her beloved niece and nephew:  Ella and Evan.  She was preceded in death by her father Kyung Hwan Cho in 2008.            

Friends and family are invited to share time to visit on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 3489 E. 100 S., Pierceton, Indiana  46562 and would be appreciated by the family.
