S. Marie Hungerford

S.  Marie Hungerford passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Grace Village Health Care of Winona Lake, Indiana at the age of 94.

Marie was born on April 30, 1923 in Washington, D.C. to Marie (Hart) and Harry Bien.  On August 24, 1946 in Washington DC she was married to Eugene Nathaniel Hungerford, who passed away October 6, 2009.  They shared 62 years of marriage together. 

She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana since 2002.  Marie attended Pleasant View Bible Church of Warsaw and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters:  Virginia (husband Terry) Witzky (Warsaw, Indiana); Hope Grant (Wheaton, Illinois); and her son:  Father Douglas E. Hungerford (Peru, Indiana).  She also leaves behind four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two sisters:  Julie Bien (Oregon); Ruth Lenwell (New Mexico).  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eugene Nathaniel Hungerford; half-brother:  Norman Hart; four sisters:  Connie Richardson, Jeannette Safron, Dickie Spencer, and Marian Castro.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw and officiated by Father Douglas E. Hungerford.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana
