Tracy A. Rice of Warsaw, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 61.
She was born on December 31, 1956 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Sheila (Lundy) Kerber and Robert Means. On January 17, 1987 she was married to Kenneth Rice, who survives.
Tracy moved to the area in 1984. She had worked for many years at the Blue Coyote and since 2000 she worked as a waitress at the Boathouse Restaurant in Winona Lake, Indiana. Tracy loved her job at the Boathouse and especially enjoyed her co-workers. They were not just co-workers, they were her friends. She loved her family and grandchildren...she even loved her dog and chickens. Tracy will be remembered for her great personality, smile and laugh, but most of all she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother…she will be dearly missed by all who had a chance to have known her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Rice (Warsaw, Indiana); son: Evan (Sarah) Rice (Warsaw, Indiana); and three grandchildren: Hunter, Gavin, and Ryder. Also surviving is her brother: Bob (Debbie) Means (Mechanicsburg, Ohio); niece: Laura Binz (Ohio); three nieces and nephews: Kellan (Ashley) Means (Mechanicsburg, Ohio); Dustin (Ray Ann) Means (Phoenix, Arizona); Lee Rice (Salt Lake City, Utah); and eight great nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will take place at Palestine Cemetery in Palestine, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 3489 E. 100 S., Pierceton, Indiana 46562 and would be appreciated by the family.
