Vivian E. Murphy

Vivian E. Murphy of Pierceton, Indiana passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw, Indiana at the age of 92.

She was born on October 28, 1927 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to Hester (Slaymaker) Foreman and Elmer E. Foreman.  Vivian was married on June 30, 1951 to Charles C. Murphy.  They shared 57 years of marriage together before he passed away on January 24, 2009. 

She spent her entire life in Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a proud homemaker.  Vivian’s life was about serving and helping in any means needed.  She helped and worked alongside her husband, Charles, on the family farm.  She could do anything…drove trucks, livestock and milked.  Vivian lived a long and full life and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons:  Charles (Terrie) Murphy (Pierceton, Indiana); and Rick (Melissa) Murphy (Apopka, Florida).  She also leaves behind her beloved thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three sisters.            

Vivian’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Terry Bradford.  Friends and family will have time for visitation prior to the service from 10:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
