Abbey Hagan Obituary

Abbey Jo Hagan of Warsaw, Indiana left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 and was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.  She passed away at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN after complications from a stroke she suffered at the age of 51.

She was born on April 2, 1970 in Vincennes, Indiana.  She was raised by her parents Edith "Edie" Marie (Pitts) Ross and Fredrick Allen Ross, Jr.

Abbey was a 1988 graduate of North Putman High School in Vincennes, Indiana, and received her Associates Degree in 1990 from Vincennes University.  She has lived in Warsaw, Indiana for the past 25 years.  Abbey was a familiar face at Mutual Federal Savings Bank where she worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer from 1994 – 2000 and  most recently, she was an Eisenhower Elementary School employee where she worked as a paraprofessional for Warsaw Community Schools since 2016.  She LOVED being around all of the children and enjoyed her extended family at Eisenhower Elementary School.

Abbey was always up for a short road trip any time of the year, loved her wine and canvas painting classes, movies and of course her crime televisions shows.  She attended Warsaw Community Church and worked in Sonlight Children’s Ministries and most recently she served as the treasurer for Winona Lake Free Methodist Church.

Her greatest accomplishment was being able to be a stay-at-home mom and raising her three wonderful daughters.  Abbey cherished simply being able to spend precious time with her daughters.  Her children always knew Mom was always available for them.  She was a wonderful and loving daughter, mother, sister and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all.

She will be lovingly remembered by her three beautiful daughters and the loves of her life:  Amber, Jayme and Piper Hagan (Warsaw, Indiana); parents:  Edith "Edie" Marie and Fredrick Allen Ross, Jr. (Danville, Indiana); and her two brothers:  Matt (Jennifer) Lake (Danville, Indiana); Andy (Abbey) Lake (Fort Wayne, Indiana).  She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
