Aneta Fifer Moore Obituary

Aneta Fifer Moore of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by her loving family at 8:56 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the age of 91.

She was born on April 21, 1932, in Warsaw, Indiana to Theta Ellen (Lansbury) Lear and David Taylor Lear.  Aneta was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a 1950 graduate of Warsaw High School.  At the young age of 17 she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with a young boy by the name of Russell Charles Fifer.  They were married on September 23, 1950, and were blessed with raising two sons, and later enjoyed becoming grandparents multiple times.  Together they enjoyed celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, school events, weddings and everything in between throughout their 42 years of marriage before Russell passed away on July 5, 1992.

Aneta greeted and helped many patrons at Lake City Bank for 20 years as a teller in Warsaw.  She had also worked for a number of years at DaLite Screen in Warsaw.  Her real full-time job was being Mom!  Always there for her kids and later she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.  There was enough love to go around and always had plenty of love to spare for her beloved dogs.  Aneta had a love of ceramics and taught others how to create their own works.  She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw where she enjoyed her many church friends.  Aneta loved Christmas and decorating her living room every year to celebrate with her family.  In her 91 years on this Earth, Aneta always spoke her mind and was a strong and powerful woman who knew what she wanted out of life.  Her smiling face and wonderful hugs will be missed.  She loved her family dearly, and will forever be remembered as a great mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend.

She leaves behind her son, Danny “Dan” (Darla) Fifer (Warsaw, IN); daughter-in-law, Janet Fifer (Warsaw, IN); and six grandchildren, Troy (Nichole) Fifer (Pierceton, IN); Cara (Rickie) See (Pierceton, IN); Michelle (Rich) Pierson (Warsaw, IN); Brent (Cindy) Fifer (Warsaw, IN); Randy J. (Victoria) Sexton (Warsaw, IN); and Melissa (James) Tabor (SC).  Also surviving are her beloved ten great-grandchildren, Taylor, Landon, Quinton, Jayde, Riley, Brodie, Clay, Sawyer, Keyan and Hope; sister, Jody Wiley (Warsaw, IN); niece, Linda Davis (Warsaw, IN); and two nephews, Bruce Biltz (Warsaw, IN), Steve Biltz (Ft. Wayne, IN).  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell Fifer, her son, Larry Fifer and one sister.

Aneta’s life will be celebrated with a service at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Lisa Newsome.  She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.  Friends and family may visit an hour prior to the service from 11:00 – 12:00 noon.
