Aurora Rodriguez

Aurora Rodriguez of Warsaw, Indiana peacefully departed this world surrounded by her family at 12:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 86. 

She was born on August 13, 1937, in Guanajuato Mexico to Maria and Silverio Rodriguez.  In 1955 she married Eusebio Malagon, and they shared 61 years of marriage together before he passed away on June 23, 2016. 

Aurora's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for the land.  She dedicated the prime of her life to cultivating the land and unconditionally loving her animals.  Aurora imparted these virtues to her children, shaping their characters with the same work ethic that defined her own journey.  Her days were a symphony of simple joys, each note echoing the beauty she found in her farm's fertile soil and the expansive outdoors.  She not only nurtured crops but also sowed the seeds of persistence, resourcefulness, and an unbreakable commitment to her family- a legacy that will endure through generations.  As we bid farewell to Aurora, let us draw comfort from the belief that she has been called home to her Heavenly Father.  May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her enduring legacy continue to inspire and guide us all.

She leaves behind four daughters, Angelica Sanchez (Warsaw, IN); Maria Elena Cervantes (TX); Elvia Patiño (Warsaw, IN); Estela Cervantes (Warsaw, IN); two sons, Alfredo Malagon and Jesus Malagon (both of Warsaw, IN); twenty grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Amelia Rodriguez (Mexico) and Atanasaia Rodriguez (Mexico).  She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two grandchildren one sister and two brothers. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.  Aurora’s life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 225 Gilliam Drive, Warsaw, Indiana and celebrated by Father Constantino Rocha.  A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N. Maple Avenue, Warsaw.

Aurora Rodríguez de Warsaw, Indiana, partió pacíficamente de este mundo rodeada de su familia a las 12:59 p.m. el miércoles 18 de octubre de 2023 a la edad de 86 años.

Nació el 13 de agosto de 1937 en Guanajuato, México, hija de Maria y Silverio Rodriguez. En 1955 se casó con Eusebio Malagón y compartieron 61 años de matrimonio antes de que el falleciera el 23 de junio de 2016.

La vida de Aurora fue un testimonio de trabajo duro, dedicación y un amor inquebrantable por la tierra. Dedicó la mejor parte de su vida a cultivar la tierra y amor incondicional a los animales. Aurora, impartió estas virtudes a sus hijos, moldeando sus personalidades con la misma ética de trabajo que definió su propio camino. Sus días eran una sinfonía de alegría sencilla, cada nota hacía eco de la belleza que encontraba en la fertilidad de la tierra y al amplio aire libre. No sólo cultivó la tierra, sino que también sembró las semillas de la persistencia, el ingenio y un compromiso inquebrantable con su familia, un legado que perdurará a través de sus generaciones. Al despedirnos de Aurora, sintamos consuelo al creer que ha sido llamada al hogar de su Padre Celestial. Que su alma descanse en paz eternamente y su legado perdure continuamente, inspirándonos y guiándonos a todos.

Deja cuatro hijas, Angelica Sanchez (Warsaw, IN); Maria Elena Cervantes (TX); Elvia Patiño (Warsaw, IN); Estela Cervantes (Warsaw, IN); dos hijos, Alfredo Malagón Y Jesús Malagón (Warsaw, IN); veinte nietos y veintinueve bisnietos. También sobreviven dos hermanas, Amelia Rodriguez (Mexico) y Atanacia Rodriguez (Mexico). Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, un hijo, dos nietos, una hermana y dos hermanos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 a 7:00 p.m. el viernes 20 de octubre de 2023 en Redpath-Furth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.  La vida de Aurora se celebrará con una Misa de Cristiano entierro a las 10:00 a.m. del sábado 21 de octubre de 2023 en la Iglesia Católica Nuestro Señora de Guadalupe, 225 Gilliam Drive, Warsaw, Indiana y será celebrada por el Padre Constantino Rocha. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Oakwood, 421 North Maple Avenue, Warsaw.
