Bettylee Shepler

Bettylee Shepler of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 6:55 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw at the age of 85.

She was born on July 22, 1934 in Steuben County, Indiana to Wanda Lee (Parker) Forrester and John Leo Forrester.  On October 18, 1958 she was married in Warsaw to Harold Raymond Shepler.  They shared 29 years of marriage together before he passed away on June 16, 1988. 

Bettylee was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a 1953 graduate of Warsaw High School.  She went on to attend cosmetology college in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was a hairdresser for a number of years, cutting hair for the residents of Alfran Nursing Home that was once in Warsaw.  Bettylee enjoyed being outdoors and raising animals.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be forever missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her lifetime.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter:  Elnora Shepler (Etna Green, Indiana); four grandchildren:  Branden Shepler (Laketon, Indiana); Bryan Shepler (Warsaw, Indiana); Brooke Shepler (Syracuse, Indiana); Brittney (Heath) Simons (Rochester, Indiana); and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Raymond Shepler, two sons, Gilbert Lavern Morts in 1991, and Bret Raymond Shepler, who recently passed away on January 24, 2020.            

Bettylee’s life will be celebrated with a service on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Kip Cone.  Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
