Billie Ann Wright of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 6:02 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living Facility in Warsaw at the age of 85.
She was born on January 8, 1935 in Carbon Hill, Alabama. On June 6, 1954 at the young age of 19, she was married to Eddie Junior Wright. They shared 56 years of marriage together and raised four children before he passed away on December 12, 2010.
Billie had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 76 years and a longtime resident of Warsaw, Indiana. She had attended Warsaw High School. She was a familiar face in Syracuse, Indiana where she had spent a number of years working in the Video Movie Den where she was the owner. She met so many people working there that came in as customers that later sometimes even became friends. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Ron (Donna) Wright (Claypool, Indiana); Rick (Bambi) Wright (Winona Lake, Indiana); two daughters: Pam (Jim) Whitley (Atwood, Indiana); Cindy (Mike) Miller (Leesburg, Indiana); fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two brothers: John (Jan) Christian (Syracuse, Indiana); Greg (Roxanne) Christian (Bourbon, Indiana); three sisters: Jewell (Tom) Hicks (Warsaw, Indiana); Jimma (Mike) Masterson (Warsaw, Indiana); and Susan (Henry) Prater (Warsaw, Indiana). She was preceded in death by her mother, Lockie Christian, her husband, Eddie in 2010, and her brother, David Christian in 2016.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Billie’s life will be celebrated with a service following visitation at 1:00 p.m. and officiated by Pastor William Whitaker. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
