Braxton Chase McGuire of Fort Wayne, Indiana and formerly of Warsaw, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Indianapolis at the age of 18.
He was born on August 22, 2004 in Marion County, Indiana to Michelle Lynn (Hopkins) McGuire and Joshua Joseph McGuire.
Braxton loved all things outdoors, hiking, biking, climbing, and being by water. He enjoyed exploring nature and loved listening to all kinds of music. He was naturally talented at BMX and was relentless when it came to trying out new tricks. He LOVED riding all year and frequented the indoor skate park, Slam City Skatepark in Fort Wayne. He had a big heart and loved his dogs, Rosco and Baby Girl. Despite the obstacles in his short life, he had a bright smile, a kind heart, and a funny sense of humor. Braxton was one of kind and will forever be missed by those who loved him.
He leaves behind his Aunt, Brandy (Robert) Fey (Fort Wayne, Indiana); grandparents, Holly and David McGuire (Warsaw, Indiana) and Teresa Beck (Marion, Indiana), great-grandfather, Harold Nicholls (Hendersonville, North Carolina). Also surviving are his cousins, Mariah Fey and Nyomie Fey; several other great aunts, great uncles and distant cousins, and his mother, Michelle Lynn McGuire. He was preceded in death by his father, Joshua Joseph McGuire on March 1, 2020.
Braxton’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Grove Chapel Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana.
