Carl Lynn Poe of Milford, Indiana won his battle with cancer at 4:12 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Indiana at the age of 62.
He was born on June 17, 1958 in Edwardsburg, Michigan to Shirley Kay (Miller) Poe and Clifford A. Poe. On June 24, 1995 he was married to Beverly (Ritchie) Poe. They have two daughters and shared 25 years of marriage together before he passed away.
Carl had lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 26 years where he was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He worked as a salesman for energy efficient products at Quality Eco Technology. Carl was always tenacious, had a great personality, was a very playful man, great with his hands and had a problem solving mind who could fix anything! He had a heart for helping others, he enjoyed gardening, swimming and loved Jaguar cars…especially the one called “The Beast”. Carl never complained, was a wonderful husband who took great care of his wife, he loved his daughters and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Beverly N. Poe (Milford, Indiana); two daughters: Casey (Nick) Claypool (Fort Wayne, Indiana); Amy Poe (Elkhart, Indiana); and three grandchildren: Atlas, Mike and David. Also surviving are his brother: Joe (Lara) Miller (North Manchester, Indiana); and sister: Debbie (Bob) Ryan (Bristol, Indiana). He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Mike Goodrich.
Carl’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by his friend, Tom Bussell.
Memorial donations may be directed to Beverly Poe, 11024 N. 500 W., Milford, Indiana 46542 to go towards funeral expenses.
