Chris Slone

Christopher “Chris” D. Slone of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 3:01 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 40.

He was born on August 27, 1980 in Warsaw, Indiana to Marcella Jane Manns and Lonnie Edward Slone.  On September 20, 2013 he was married to Jennifer Lynn (Petruska) Slone.

Chris was a 1999 graduate of Warsaw Community High School in Warsaw, Indiana.   He worked as a HVAC installer for several companies in the Warsaw area.  He had a great personality and never took things too seriously.  He enjoyed attending and watching his kids play games, playing X-Box whenever he could, and everyone knew that Chris loved fireworks.  He had a heart for helping others and gave to people in need.  Chris was excited to remodel his home, he was a great cook and loved trying out new recipes.  He loved his friends, his two dogs and even his cat.  Most of all, Chris loved his “Little Jenny Slone”, his children, and fiercely loved his family.  He will be dearly missed and forever loved.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife:  Jennifer Slone (Wabash, Indiana); two sons:  Lance and Gage Slone; father:  Lonnie (Belinda) Slone (Clunette, Indiana); and his mother:  Marcella Manns (Claypool, Indiana).  Also surviving are two brothers:  Jeremie (Stephanie) Slone (Winona Lake, Indiana); Toran Savant (Claypool, Indiana); and his sister:  Tara Schoettmer (Claypool, Indiana).  He was preceded in death  by his son, Noah Edward Slone.        

Chris’ life will be celebrated privately by his family on Friday, June 25, 2021 and he will be laid to rest at Akron Cemetery, Akron, Indiana.   A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
