Edward William Sexton of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 4:57 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, Indiana at the age of 52.

He was born on February 10, 1969 in Whittier, California to Pierrette Marie (Bolduc) Sexton and James Francis Sexton.  He was married on May 16, 1998 to the love of his life, Amy JoAnne (Murtha) Sexton.  They shared the joy of becoming parents to two sons and shared 22 years of marriage before he passed away.

Edward grew up in California and had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 13 years where he enjoyed attending church with his family at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw.  He had a passion for welding and fabrication and he used those talents working as a Certified Welding Inspector for Buhrt Engineering in Warsaw.  He had an eye for detail and could build anything.  Edward was one of the founding members of the American Welding Society – D18.4 Committee for Orthopedic Welding.  He shared his knowledge for welding as an instructor at Ivy Tech Community College in Warsaw.  He was a hands-on instructor that provided high quality training and helped develop his student’s skills in welding classes.  He had a heart for teaching and service and absolutely LOVED being available for his sons over the years as their Cub Master.  He was very involved with Cub Scout Pack #3731 as well as the Assistant Scout Master in North Webster, Boy Scout Troop #726.  Edward was always proud of everything his children would accomplish, especially achieving Eagle Scout status.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many who will be dearly missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife:  Amy JoAnne Sexton (Warsaw, Indiana); and two Eagle Scout Sons:  Francis and Charles Sexton (Warsaw, Indiana).  Also surviving are his parents:  James and Pierrette Sexton (Fullerton, California); three brothers:  Ronald (Cathy) Sexton (San Luis Obispo, California); Steven (Lora) Sexton (Temecula, California); Michael (Shirin) Sexton (Simi Valley, California); and his sister:  Karen (Mark) Martindale-Payne (Fullerton, California).

Friends and family may visit from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 and again on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.  Edward’s life will be celebrated with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N.
