Gwendolyn Cornett

Gwendolyn Ann (Fort-Hansen) Cornett of Warsaw, Indiana left this world unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the young age of 45.

She was born on September 18, 1977 in Plymouth, Indiana to Sandra Jean (Fort) Clayborn and Steven Wayne Hansen.  On June 3, 2016 she married Wendall Hutch Cornett, and they shared six years of marriage together before Gwendolyn passed away. 

She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she spent her life caring for her family.  Gwendolyn was a great mom who was very giving and dearly loved her family.  She was known to be very organized and her family lovingly referred to her as being “crazy in a good way!”  Gwendolyn will forever be loved and remembered by those who were fortunate to have known her. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wendall Hutch Cornett, two daughters, Kathryn Hansen-Cornett and Scarlet Cornett, granddaughter, Abby Baker (all of Warsaw, IN); sister, Sherry (James) Kimble (Warsaw, IN), and her brother, Jesse (Christina) Wilcox (Perris, California).  She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.            

Gwendolyn’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
