Jacqueline Jean Hollar of Warsaw, Indiana went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 75. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, gracious hostess and enjoyed travel, hymns and God’s beautiful sunsets on Winona Lake.
She was born on February 6, 1943 in LaPorte, Indiana to Ralph Waldo Johnson and Norma Eleanor Alice (Rochlitz) Johnson. On August 26, 1962 she was married to Dr. Charles Allan Hollar, who survives in Warsaw.
Jacqueline moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana in 1966. She attended the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake, Indiana. For 50 years she worked with her husband, Dr. Charles Hollar and their son Dr. Steven Hollar, in their dental office, and enjoyed being a talented interior designer. She cherished being her husband’s Christian help mate, and a mother to her children and grandmother to her five grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Charles Allan Hollar (Warsaw, Indiana); son: Dr. Steven C. (wife Jennifer) Hollar (Warsaw, Indiana); and her daughter: Dana (husband Mark) Lawrence (Columbus, Ohio). Also surviving are her five grandchildren: Bennett and Jonathan Hollar, Meredith (husband Trent) Smith, and Gabrielle and Grant Lawrence; sister: Cheryl Rotermund (Huntley, Illinois); numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Vernon Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 708 College Avenue, Winona Lake, Indiana and officiated by Pastor John Quigley and Pastor Bruce Barlow. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
