Janet Sue Davis

Janet Sue Davis of Warsaw, Indiana went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 3:17 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her residence at the age of 76. 

She was born on September 22, 1941 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Dora (Ratliff) May and John May.  On January 1, 1959 she was married to Eugene Davis, who survives.

Janet has been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 70 years, where she went to school in Warsaw.  She was a member of the Amazing Grace Community Church in Sidney, Indiana, loved gardening, canning, and she especially loved preparing for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinners…she was a fabulous cook.  Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and will be forever loved and dearly missed.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Davis (Warsaw, Indiana), five sons:  Richard (Linda) Davis (Warsaw, Indiana); James (Brandi) Davis (Mentone, Indiana); William (Charity) Davis (Pierceton, Indiana); Mark (Peggy) Davis (Warsaw, Indiana); Michael (Michelle) Davis (Warsaw, Indiana); two daughters:  Nina Brown (Warsaw, Indiana); Debra (Salvador) Menchaca (Warsaw, Indiana); 101 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Shirley in 1960, two brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.           

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday August 11, 2018 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Ballard Wood and Pastor Don Arms.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Indiana .

Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana  46240 and would be appreciated by the family.
