John Wayne Scheuer

John Wayne Scheuer of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by his loved ones at 5:15 p.m. on Monday April 24, 2023 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette, Indiana at the age of 52.

He was born on October 6, 1970, in Logansport, Indiana to Cynthia Maire (Cocheran) Jones and Larry Albert

Scheuer.  John lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana on and off for most of his life.  He was a past member of Victory Rock Church in Pierceton, Indiana. 

John worked for 10 years in Van Wert, Ohio for L.C. Transport as a truck driver.  He enjoyed his job trucking which afforded him to be being able to enjoy God’s beauty through his windows.  He visited many places in the U.S. and was always well received wherever he happened to be.  John was simply a nice and friendly guy who loved the girls and the grandkids.   He enjoyed playing video games, was a fan of NASCAR and loved Colt’s football.  John will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

He leaves behind his mother, Cynthia Maire Jones (Logansport, IN); three daughters, Sierra (Josh) Lantz (Goshen, IN); Latasha (Jake) Listenberger (Macy, IN); Whitney Scheuer (TN); nine grandchildren and his sister, Angela Scheuer (New Orleans, LA).  He was preceded in death his father, Larry and his brother, Bret Scheuer

John’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Jeff Estep of First Brethren Church of New Paris.  Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be directed to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, IN  46580 to go towards funeral expenses.
