Noble Leon Rohrer, everyone knew him simply as Leon, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at his residence in the Claypool district, Indiana at the age of 81.
He was born on January 22, 1937 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to Noble Ralph Rohrer and Al Myra C. (Scott) Rohrer. On March 30, 1986 he was married to Susan Darlene (Banter) Rohrer, who survives.
Leon was a lifetime area resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana and was a 1955 graduate of Burket High School. He was never afraid of a hard day’s work…he kept busy as a dairy farmer, as well as working in the maintenance department of Grace Village Retirement Community of Winona Lake, Mason’s Health and Rehab of Warsaw, and Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw. He was a member of Kemrad police auxiliary, and the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA). He will be dearly missed by countless friends, but most of all he will be forever loved by his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Susan Darlene Rohrer (Claypool, Indiana); two sons: Michael (Lily) Rohrer (Rochester, Indiana); Jeffrey (Melanie) Rohrer (Claypool, Indiana); two step-sons: Wesley (Mary Kittrell) Gearheart (Warsaw, Indiana); Dustin Gearheart (Warsaw, Indiana); sister: Linda (Dave) Lock (Fort Wayne, Indiana); also his first wife Lois Karen McCourt (Claypool, Indiana); 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Rita Sabo, one sister Janice Method, one brother Larry and two grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 18, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. His funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on October 19, 2018 at Pathway Church, 2402 Old US 30 West, Warsaw, Indiana officiated by Reverend Michael Rohrer. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Graceland Cemetery of Claypool, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Christian Motorcyclists Association, 2862 S. 400 E., Pierceton, Indiana 46562 and may be left at the funeral home or the church and would be appreciated by the family.
