Linda Edgington Obituary

Linda Kay Edgington of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 12:09 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence.  She is now at peace with her Lord at the age of 64.

She was born on September 24, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri.  She was one of five children born to Donna (Troyer) Walker and Dr. William Leroy Walker.  On August 6, 1977 she was married at the young age of 20 to Thomas James Edgington.  They shared the joy and challenges of raising three children and elation of becoming grandparents throughout their 43 years of marriage together.

Linda graduated from Rittman High School in Rittman, Ohio in 1974 and moved to Winona Lake, Indiana to attend Grace College in 1974 earning her degree in Elementary Education in 1978.  She had a heart for teaching and had the pleasure of teaching at Leesburg Elementary School in Leesburg, Indiana from 1978-1981.  Linda held various positions throughout her life and worked for a number of years at Owens & Company in Warsaw as well as at Grace College.  For years she quilted, had an E-Bay business, and helped author her husband Tom’s books.  She was always the friend and loving wife at his side.  Her all-time favorite job was simply being MOM!  Her entire lifetime passion was raising her children and being a grandmother.   She would want to be remembered for the good she has done and she leaves behind many cherished memories she and her family were able to experience.  Her smile will be forever missed and never forgotten by her family and many friends that were fortunate enough to have known her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband:  Thomas “Tom” James Edgington (Warsaw, Indiana); daughter:  Callie (Luke) Tillett (Gurnee, Illinois); two Sons:  Nate (Victoria) Edgington (Cincinnati, Ohio); Ryan (Makenna) Edgington (Altamonte, Florida); and her beloved five grandchildren:  Lei, Kalina, Elias, Aleah and Oakley.  Also surviving is her mother:  Donna Walker (Winona Lake, Indiana); brother:  Dave (Ann) Walker (Pullman, Michigan); three sisters:  Karen (Carl) Hardcastle (Hagerstown, Maryland); Jan (Bill) Remington (Warsaw, Indiana); and Tina Walker (Warsaw, Indiana).  She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. William Walker in 2010, and her mother and father-in-law, Marilyn and Duane Edgington.

Linda’s life will be celebrated with a service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Denny Wilson.  There will be three hours of visitation prior to the service from 10:00 – 1:00 p.m.  A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
