Loretta Mae Stump

Due to the current guidelines regarding public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus and safety concerns, please use good judgment in determining the length of your visit or if you should attend.  If six feet of social distancing is not maintained then masks are required for the visitation and service . There will be no congregating in the parking lot.

Loretta Mae Stump of Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, Indiana went home to be with her Lord & Savior at 7:28 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Grace Village Healthcare at the age of 94.

She was born on February 2, 1926 in Warsaw, Indiana to Emma Louella (Jones) Parsons and Forrest Franklin Parsons.  On November 16, 1942 she was married to William Amos Stump, Sr.  They shared 62 years of marriage together before he passed away on January 6, 2005. 

She was a longtime member of Abundant Life Assembly of God in Warsaw where she was a Sunday school teacher for 17 years.  One of her personal ministries was corresponding and sending cards.  In her youth, Loretta enjoyed bowling, and throughout her life she loved to cook and going to her big family get togethers.  Many years ago she had worked as a cook for Penguin Point in Warsaw for 14 years and was a former member of the Women’s Life Insurance Society.  She lived a long and full life of 94 years and witnessed so many changes in the world.  Loretta loved her family dearly and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.      

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters:  Lorwill (Lonnie) Coffing (Pierceton, Indiana); Marlane Baker (Pierceton, Indiana); two sons:  William (Diana) Stump (Warsaw, Indiana); and Joseph H. (Pat) Stump (Pierceton, Indiana).  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother.            

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. 

Loretta’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Anthony Green and Pastor Glen Mitchell.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery of Pierceton, Indiana.
