Margaret A. Mason of Warsaw, Indiana went home to be with her Lord at 3:17 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her residence at the age of 95.
She was born on June 26, 1925 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Geneva M. (Moore) Lord and George B. Lord. Margaret graduated from Northside High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1943. She was a 1947 graduate of Bob Jones University earning her degree in elementary education. At the young age of 21 she was married on June 22, 1947 in Fort Wayne to Dr. Harold Albert Mason. They raised six children together, traveled the world, experienced the joy of becoming grandparents all throughout their 54 years of marriage before he passed away on September 11, 2001.
Margaret and Harold shared a calling to love God through using their talents and compassion to serve those in need as medical missionaries for many years in the Central African Republic. She and her husband made their move back home to Indiana and have lived in Kosciusko County for the past 30 years. Margaret LOVED the Lord, and attended Lakeland Grace Brethren Church in Warsaw where she was always actively involved in various capacities and immensely enjoyed working with children. Margaret was loving, sincere, and kind in all her ways, a heart for service and a never-ending love for her family. Margaret LIVED a wonderous 95 years on her earthly home and has finally been rewarded with her eternal journey with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Stephen (Jeanette) Mason (Litiz, Pennsylvania); four daughters: Naomi Maxwell (Eau Claire, Michigan); Wilma (Steve) Bailey (Atlanta, Georgia); Joyce (David) Moyer (Tanzania, Africa); and Sharon (DeLane) Miller (Albany, Oregon). Also surviving are 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; brother: George B. Lord, Jr. (Fort Wayne, Indiana); and her sister: Elizabeth Crawford (Alabama). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her daughter, Gloria.
Margaret’s life will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Lakeland Grace Brethren Church, 2538 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Russell Simpson. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 11:00 – 12:00 noon at the church. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
