Margaret Jeanne "Nean" Tucker

Margaret Jeanne Tucker affectionately known by her family as Nean, of Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana and formerly of Winona Lake and Warsaw, Indiana was called home to Heaven by her Lord at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Peabody Retirement at the age of 84.

She came into this world with her twin sister, Martha Jane on April 9, 1938 in Warsaw, Indiana to Margaret Alice (Towns) Tucker and Chauncey Constant Tucker.  Nean was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was raised in Claypool and graduated with her friends from Claypool High School in 1956.  She studied for a year at Grace College in Winona Lake. 

Nean enjoyed watching sports, walking & bicycling, going out to eat and the company of friends.  She was a longtime member of Claypool United Methodist Church and she also attended Winona Lake Free Methodist Church.  Nean enjoyed serving her church in many ways including playing the piano.  She loved music, and also enjoyed sharing her piano talents at Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake when she was a resident there.  Nean was a devoted worker having spent many years with the Free Methodist Headquarters and working at Light and LifeBook Store.  She loved her family very much and walked closely with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

She leaves behind her sister-in-law, Elaine Tucker (Florida); nephews, Matthew (Lori) Brubaker (Warsaw, Indiana); Mark (Bev) Brubaker (Claypool, Indiana); Kurt (Vaylene) Tucker (Florida); nieces, Lesa (Jim) Coplen (Fort Wayne, Indiana); Krista (Scott) Hall (Florida); and several great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Arnold Tucker, brother, Jan L. Tucker, twin sister, Martha "Jane" Brubaker and her brother-in-law, Larry J. Brubaker.

Margaret’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
