Mary Louise Fowl, 92, of Peoria, AZ died on March 9, 2023 at Orchard Pointe at Terrazza. She was born on June 6, 1930 in Lorain, Ohio to Helen (Mislinski) and Felix Borowicz. Mary graduated from Amherst High School in Amherst, Ohio. Mary Lou married Alvin F. Fowl of Elyria, Ohio on June 10, 1951 and shared thirty-seven years of marriage before Alvin died in 1988. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter.
She was a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church and was proud that she had been a twenty-year volunteer for the American Red Cross. Mary Lou was a consummate Air Force Officers wife for Alvin's entire career. Mary Lou was known as a hard worker, an amazing cook, and for having a keen sense of humor.
Mary is survived by her son, Colonel Guy Fowl (USAF, retired) and wife Donna Sanger of West Friendship, MD, daughter Katherine Gill (Jeffrey Gill) of Winona Lake, IN, and daughter-in-law Jane Fowl of Glendale, AZ, six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Colonel Alvin F. Fowl, son Glendale Firefighter Mark Fowl, and by sisters Beatrice Clapp of Oberlin, Ohio and Lauretta Williams of Amherst, Ohio
Services for Mary will be held at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. Seventh St. Phoenix, AZ 85020, on March 20th at 10:30 with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona with The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Gill officiating.
