Mary Luz Velazquez  of Winona Lake, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on State Road 15 in Milford, Indiana at the age of 51.

She was born on February 23, 1970 in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico to Rigoberto Cuazitl and Juana Sofia Cielo Perez.  Mary was married in May 1986 to Gaudencio Z. Velazquez, who survives.

Mary was born and raised in Mexico and moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana in 2000.  Many will recognize her from her job as a supervisor at El Cielo Mexican Grill & Bar in Warsaw where she was always a friendly face.  She was definitely a very happy and upbeat person, always making those around her feel at ease.  Mary was a wonderful, loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.  Her smiling face will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband:  Gaudencio Z. Velazquez (Winona Lake, Indiana); two sons:  Oscar Velazquez Cuazitl (Boston, Massachusetts);     Irving Velazquez Cuazitl (Winona Lake, Indiana); and three daughters (all of Winona Lake, Indiana):  Ari-Sandy Velazquez Cuazitl, Diana Velazquez Cuazitl, and Keliah Velazquez Cuazitl.  She also leaves behind mother:  Juana Sofia Cielo Perez (Mexico); three grandchildren:  Yeudiel, Neymar, and Janelley Meyo; two brothers:  Rigoberto Cuazitl Cielo (Mexico); Serapio Cuazitl Cielo (Fort Wayne, Indiana); Luciel Cuazitl Cielo (Warsaw, Indiana); and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
