Max Leroy Jamison of Claypool, Indiana passed away at 12:53 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 85.
He was born on September 10, 1937 in Warsaw, Indiana to Pansy Loverda (Reed) Jamison and Joseph Benton Jamison. In 1955 he graduated from Sidney High School in Sidney, Indiana. Max enlisted in the U.S. Army in October 1960 and proudly served in Korea as a combat medic until his honorable discharge in October of 1962.
On June 5, 1965 he married the love of his life, Connie Elaine Bennett. They shared the joy of becoming parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents in the 55 years of marriage they were blessed to share with each other before Connie passed away on May 13, 2021.
Max was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana and worked for Zimmer in Warsaw in plant 5 as a supervisor for many years. Later he transitioned to working in assembly until the time of his retirement. He was hard-working man his entire life and always took care of his family. Max enjoyed antique cars, collecting anything antique, loved cars and railroad memorabilia. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jodi (Alfredo) Lozano (Warsaw, IN); and two sons, Dennis Jamison (Claypool, IN); Patrick (Angella) Jamison (Palestine, IN). He also leaves behind his favorite four grandchildren, Valarie (Jeremy) Lozano (Syracuse, IN); Cody Jamison (Burket, IN); Aaron Jamison (Palestine, IN); Myra Jamison (Palestine, IN); and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Charlotte and Rylan. Also surviving is his sister, Joan Perdue (Rochester, IN). He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Connie in 2021 and his granddaughter, Shana in 1984.
The Jamison family will celebrate Max’s life with a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
