Norman Lee Roberts

Norman L. Roberts of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 11:36 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, Indiana at the age of 83.

He was born on June 30, 1938 in Silver Lake, Indiana to Wilma (Trump) Roberts and Harold Edgar Roberts.  On June 21, 1959 he was married to Marilyn Kay Metzger and they were blessed to share the next 61 years of marriage together before she passed away on January 12, 2021. 

Norman was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where he was a 1957 graduate of Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake, Indiana.  He was a reliable hard-working man and spent 25 years at Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw as a machinist.  He loved the simple things in life, he enjoyed a good meal and spending time with friends and family.  Everyone that knew Norman was very well acquainted with the fact that he was a life-long sports enthusiast.  He loved to go to church and enjoyed a good sermon at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach in Warsaw.  Most of all he loved his family and will forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. 

He leaves behind two sons, Randall Roberts (Valparaiso, Indiana), Rick (Marci) Roberts (Chesterton, Indiana), and eight grandchildren, Sophia, Max, William, Jacob, Rachelle, Danielle, Hannah and Zachary.  Also surviving are two sisters, Phyliss Zolman (Mentone, Indiana), Donna Mae Shear (Winona Lake, Indiana), and his brother, Dale Roberts (Monroe, Indiana).  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers, Max and Rex Roberts.           

Norman’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Rod Valentine and Pastor John B. Lowe.  Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 1:00 p.m.  A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
