Patricia Fruth Obituary

Patricia A. (Terrell) Fruth went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 94.  She was surrounded by family as she peacefully entered into Heaven.

She was born August 6, 1927 to Ralph and Lucille (Neff) Terrell in Petroleum, Indiana.  She was the older sister to Bette (Edward) Thielking, Connersville, Indiana, Marsha Kay (Nello) Williams, Gillette, Wyoming and Sandra (Rick) Lindemann, Batesville, Indiana.  Patti graduated from Petroleum High School in 1945 where she was in several activities which included cheerleading and pep club.  In 1947 Patti married Donald E. Fruth and celebrated 61 years before his death in 2008.  During those years, Patti served as a spirited and courageous Air Force wife following her husband from Indiana to Georgia, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, England before returning to Bunker Hill Air Force Base, Indiana.  Patti was a caring and affectionate mother to 11 children, all who survive:  Janet (David) Smith, Bunker Hill, Indiana; Elizabeth Jo (Richard) Miles, Kokomo, Indiana; Judy Kay Worland, Bunker Hill, Indiana; Jean (Lee) Schmidt, Naples, Florida; Jerri (Pat) Roth, Idaville, Indiana; Michael (Stephanie) Fruth, Amboy, Indiana; June (Jerry) Bomholt, Portland, Indiana;  Juliet (Clifford) Gardner, Chili, Indiana; John (Ronna) Fruth; Warsaw, Indiana; Jennifer (Adrian) Archuleta, Peru, Indiana; James (Sue) Fruth, Olathe, Kansas.  Patti was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and her faithful furry companion, JJ.  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, John (Dian) Fruth of Sarasota, Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.  Patti was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Bette and brother-in-law Edward.

Patti’s greatest treasure was her family along with her love for her Christian Faith.  She was a faithful member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church for more than 65 years where she was a devoted friend for so many!  There was always a song on her heart and a prayer on her lips.  Even until the end, she was humming her songs and whispering, “Amen”.  She will be greatly missed by so many but as Christians, we know she is singing with the Angels today!  There aren’t enough words to share Patricia’s legacy.  She was loved, respected and cherished by so many.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Bunker Hill Methodist Church, 100 E. Broadway, Bunker Hill, Indiana.  Patti’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Bunker Hill Methodist Church and officiated by Pastor Kyle Schmidt.  A graveside service will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
