Rellie May Henson

Rellie May Henson of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by loved ones at 10:08 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at her residence at the age of 80.

Rellie was born on January 3, 1943, in Salyersville, Kentucky to Oriole (Humphry) and Lonzie Auxier, Sr.  On May 20, 1962, she married Charlie Ray Henson, Sr.  They raised four children, shared the joy of becoming grandparents and great-grandparents during their 58 years of marriage together before Charlie passed away on February 11, 2021. 

She was a hardworking lady and always kept busy.  She worked for many years as a machine press operator for Capital Products in Kentland, Indiana.  Later she lived in Hammond, Indiana and Rellie had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 25 years moving to Warsaw with her husband and family in 1998.  She resided here until her passing.  Rellie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.  

She leaves behind her daughter, Sherry Durflinger (Ligonier, IN); two sons, Charlie Henson, Jr. (TX); Kevin Henson (IN); six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Vivian (Larry) Cooper (FL), Deloris Carman (Paxton, IL).  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, Danny Henson in 2018, and three brothers and two sisters. 

Rellie’s life will be celebrated privately by her family, thoughts and prayers are appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
