Rev. Michael "Mick" Tomlinson

Reverend Michael “Mick” Dave Tomlinson of Warsaw, Indiana went to be with the Lord at 9:42 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 64 after battling complications due to heart surgery.

He was born on March 18, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Patricia and Harold Tomlinson.  Mick married Carolyn Sue Owens on June 14, 1975 in Warsaw, Indiana.

Mick and his wife Carolyn moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana 44 years ago where he was hired and worked for Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw for 44 years.  His real life’s work and passion was serving in the pastoral ministry for the past 45 years.  He was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and had been the senior pastor at New Beginnings Assembly of God in Nappanee for the past 18 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many.  Mick will be remembered for being a man of faith, that loved and served his God, his church and family. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Sue Tomlinson; and his two beloved daughters:  Michelle (Ryan) Neese; Jessica Tomlinson (all of Warsaw, Indiana).  He also leaves behind two grandchildren:  Kaitlin and Dylan Neese; four brothers:  Rick (Ann) Tomlinson (Evansville, Indiana); Robert (Becky) Tomlinson (Texas); Hal (Janette) Tomlinson (Colorado);   Jeffrey (Jessica) Tomlinson (Michigan); and two sisters:  Cheryl (Daniel) Shuffler (Texas); Susan (Michael) Martin (California).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. L.R. and Pat McMullen, and Harold Tomlinson as well as his father and mother-in-law, Curtis and Katy Owens. 

Friends and family are invited to the visitation that will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Reverend Mick’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service that will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Glen Mitchell and assisted by Brian Moore.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
