Richard Cody Strawbridge, affectionately known by everyone as Cody, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 37. Cerebral Palsy couldn’t restrain his body on Earth any longer, and Cody is now whole again in Heaven!
He was born on November 17, 1985, in Dallas, Texas to Rebecca “Becky” Pauline (Dawson) Lowe and James “Slugger” Carey Strawbridge. Cody graduated in 2007 from Warsaw Community High School and was a wonderful smiling helper at the Cardinal Center in Warsaw when he attended the daytime services. He was one of a kind, and could make anyone laugh simply with HIS contagious laugh. Cody loved music, especially his country music ladies, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and of course good ole Randy Travis and Raffi. He had a kind heart and sense of humor, and he enjoyed loving people in a great way. Cody was a loving son and brother, who was loved his entire life and will be forever missed by those who were fortunate to have known him.
He leaves behind his mother and step-father, Becky and Keith Lowe (Raysal, WV); and four sisters, Misty (Chris) Hale (Bradshaw, WV); Mandy (Louis) Gervais (Warsaw, IN); Megan Strawbridge (IA); and Haley Strawbridge (GA). He was preceded in death by his father, James “Slugger" Strawbridge and his grandparents.
