Roger Mann Obituary

Roger Brian Mann of Silver Lake, Indiana went home to be with Jesus at 4:32 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 66.

He was born on May 24, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Barbara (Blowers) Mann and Robert  K. Mann.  On June 25, 2016 he was married to Barbara Gail (Shepherd) Honeycutt Mann.

Roger was a 1972 graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and later studied at Kenneth Hagin Ministries:  Home of Rhema Ministries in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  He had a passion for spreading the word of God and enjoyed teaching Sunday School at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God in Silver Lake, Indiana.  He pastored for 13 years at Bread of Life Church in Westfield, Indiana.  He always enjoyed fellowship with his church family and was never shy to enjoy everyone’s company at church functions.

He also worked at various places throughout his life…Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw, Adecco, Crossroads Easter Seals in Indianapolis, and Engledow in Carmel, Indiana.

Roger loved to travel and just enjoy seeing the beauty of God’s creations with his family.  Vacations were fun and beaches especially brought a smile to his face.  He enjoyed every moment when spending time with his family in Michigan or just anytime spent with loved ones.  He loved to eat at White Castle, Dairy King, grilling out, and reading his Bible.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many. Roger would most want to be remembered for his faith in his Savior Jesus Christ and will be dearly missed by his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara “Barb” Gail Mann (Silver Lake, Indiana); two sons:  Matthew Mann (Indianapolis, Indiana); Miles Blake (Silver Lake, Indiana); four daughters:  Leah (Jason) Rector (Martinsville, Indiana); Abby (Matt) Flenar (Rochester, Indiana); Lindsay (Nathan) Romero (Chicago, Illinois); Tori Mann (Indianapolis, Indiana); and his father:  Robert K. Mann (Westfield, Indiana).  Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, and his sister:  Lisa (John) Schuast (Indianapolis, Indiana).  He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Mann, and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.  Roger’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, 303 S. Jefferson Street, Silver Lake, Indiana 46982 and officiated by Pastor Justin Harshman.  There will also be an hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.   Burial will follow with a graveside service at Swank Cemetery in North Manchester, Indiana.
