He has lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 30 years where he worked for Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw as an industrial engineer for 23 years.  Roger later worked at the Gatke Corporation and then completed his working career as one of Walmart’s beloved greeters.  Roger was very proud of having served in the military and was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Post #49.  He was also one of a dozen Kosciusko County military veterans who were honored with handmade quilts during a Threads of Valor luncheon at the Pete Thorn Center in Warsaw on November 7, 2019.  On April 24, 2019 he was able to experience a trip of a lifetime with his fellow military brothers on an Honor Flight to Washington D.C.  Roger loved his Lord and was a very devoted Christian.  He dearly loved his family and will be forever missed.

He leaves behind his wife, Judith “Judy” E. Middleton (Warsaw, Indiana), son, Dan A. (Julie) Middleton (Warsaw, Indiana), and his step-daughter, Teresa Ternet (Fort Wayne, Indiana).  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Greg Tidwell, Acasha (Corey) Wilkie, Erica Edwards and William Ternet, six great-grandchildren, and his brother, Jim (Betty) Middleton (Arizona).  He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, first wife, Doris J. Middleton in 2007, and his step-daughter, Sonja Decker on April 27, 2019.
