Stan LOVED the game of baseball and was passionate about every aspect of the game. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed many a Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field as he had weekend season tickets for many years. Stan was ecstatic to see his Cub’s win the World Series in his lifetime! Stan’s life always had baseball as part of it from being involved in Silver Lake Little League and Warsaw Little League, being a little league baseball coach for many years, to serving as an umpire. He umpired many a baseball game at the CCAC in Warsaw and at many other places in the county. He also coached a men’s softball team called the Warsaw Travelers for several years. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and I.U. basketball…but nothing could ever replace his love of baseball!! One of his favorite pastimes was going turkey hunting and hanging out enjoying nature with his long-time friend Ed in Mitchell, Indiana at Ed’s Cabin. Later making the trip to the cabin with his grandson, Jason, spending quality time together along with Stan's dog, Izzy. Stan loved the simple things in life and very much enjoyed his family.
