Whenever possible, Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home will continue to enable families to participate in the rituals that are most important to them and allow them to be able to say their final good-bye to their loved one.  Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Stephen “Steve” David McGlothin. of Winona Lake, Indiana went home to be with the Lord at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation in Warsaw, Indiana at the age of 76.

He was born on February 1, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan to Mildren (Maxwell) McGlothin and George Clifford McGlothin.  On August 16, 1969 he was married to Nancy Marie (Wootton) McGlothin.  They shared 48 years of marriage together before she passed away on January 11, 2018.

Steve was a 1962 graduate of Pontiac Central High School.  He then attended Detroit Bible College graduating in 1969, then came to Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake and earned his Masters of Divinity degree in 1974.    Steve was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 50 years where he and his late wife owned and operated Grace Janitorial Services in Warsaw until his retirement due to ill health.  He was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church in Warsaw for over 35 years where he enjoyed fellowship with his church family and being involved in small groups.  Steve served in the Army Reserves, was a 40 plus year member of the Morning Optimist Club, and sang with the Optimist Singers.  He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be dearly missed by his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by two sons:  Shannon (wife Chanda Evans) McGlothin (Portland, Oregon); Jonathan (wife Vida Sacic) McGlothin (Chicago, Illinois); and his daughter:  Dawn McGlothin (Winona Lake, Indiana).  He also leaves behind two grandchildren:  Henry and Maxwell; sister:  Barbara McGlothin (Waterford, Michigan); brother-in-law:  Daniel (Nancy) Wootton (Spartanburg, South Carolina).  He was preceded in death by his precious and beloved wife, Nancy Marie McGlothin, his parents and infant son Kyle at birth.

The family will have a celebration of Steve’s life with a private graveside service that will take place at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw in May 2020.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Memorial donations in Steve and Nancy’s name may be directed to Erin’s House for Grieving Children, 3811 Illinois Road, Suite 205, Fort Wayne, Indiana  46804, and would be appreciated by the family.
