Sue Ann Hudson of Warsaw, Indiana and affectionately known by all as Susie, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 76.
She was born on June 4, 1945 in Leesburg, Indiana to Rebecca Josephine (Reeves) Brown and Clarence Ira "Bish" Brown. Susie was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a 1963 graduate of Leesburg High School. At the young age of 18 and a recent graduate, she was married on July 19, 1963 to John R. Hudson. They raised two daughters, enjoyed becoming grandparents and shared everything throughout their 44 years of marriage together before he passed away on February 4, 2007.
She loved simply being a mom and was a proud homemaker and homebody. Susie loved the simple things in life, a good meal, hanging around at home, spending time with family and she was never materialistic. She loved spending time doing crafts. Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby were her favorite places to shop. She could spend hours watching Facebook crafter’s and “DIY” videos and trying out different crafts she had seen. Many of the young men in her family trusted her with their haircutting needs and she loved it! Everyone that was fortunate enough to have known Susie ADORED her. She had a great personality and a heart to match. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Becky LaRue (Winona Lake, Indiana); Sarah (Lawrence) Baltazar (Bristol, Indiana); four grandchildren: Colt, Damon, Kennedy and Sidney; and two great-grandchildren: Jayden and Harper. Also surviving are two brothers: Leon (Paula) Brown (Destin, Florida), and Mark (Helen) Brown (Claypool, Indiana). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Arnold and Kendall Brown and her grandson, Hayden.
Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation that will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Sue’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer.
