Susan Foegley's memorial service has been postponed due to illness in the family and it is rescheduled for a service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 S. High Street, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Aaron Klein. She will be laid to rest at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Indiana.
Susan Foegley, 63 of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022, surrounded by her family. She is resting with her Savior Jesus Christ after a 4-1/2 year journey with cancer.
Susan was born on March 6, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to Merl and Arlene King. She grew up in Goshen, Indiana and graduated from Elkhart Baptist Christian School and Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. On January 1, 1983, she married Steve Foegley. They were blessed with two daughters and shared 39 years of marriage before Susan passed away. She was an active member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where she played piano, sang in the choir, and served as a Stephen minister.
Susan was a gifted pianist and served as a church pianist and accompanist for many years. She also shared her musical gifts at Grace Village Retirement Community, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, and played for many other services and occasions. She loved her family dearly, cherished being Grandma, and shared her gentle nature freely with everyone she met.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve Foegley (Warsaw, Indiana); two daughters, Stefanie (Ben) Essick and their daughters Cora and Adelaide (Warsaw, IN); Karen (Patrick) Dunkerly and their son Griffin (Carmichael, CA); and two sisters, Elaine McKee (Williams, AZ); Myrdith King (Santa Maria, CA). Susan's extended family includes Sarita Foegley and John Foegley (South Bend, IN), Jenny (Dave) Gongwer (Elkhart, IN), and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
