Timothy "Timo" Paul Matero

Timothy “Timo” Paul Matero of Warsaw, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the age of 55.  

He was born on December 13, 1967 in Ishpeming, Michigan to Doris Vivian (Leppenen) Molinen and Paul Abel Jacob Matero.  Timo was a proud second generation Finlander who grew up in the upper peninsula of Michigan.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.  His entire life he enjoyed fishing and camping whenever he was able to.  Timo was a wonderful cook with a unique sense of humor…he was definitely a character!  He had a wonderful mind and was gifted with being a true creative genius.  He excelled at consulting and marketing and in past years he was very creative in the greeting card industry.  

Timo loved the Lord and was a devout Christian who was looking forward to the Lord’s return.  He enjoyed worshipping with his church family at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Warsaw.  Timo was a wonderful brother and friend to many, his smiling face will be missed by those who knew and loved him dearly.  

He leaves behind his brother, Michael (Belinda) Matero (Warsaw, IN).  He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Timo’s family will mourn his death privately, thoughts and prayers are appreciated.  He will be laid to rest at Herman Cemetery in L’Anse Township of Baraga County, Michigan.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
