Marvin W. Klinger

Marvin W. Klinger of Marion, Indiana passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at V.A. Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion at the age of 77.

He was born on December 30, 1939 in Warsaw, Indiana to Mildred A. (Bickel) Klinger and Howard R. Klinger. 

Marvin was a 1958 graduate of Atwood High School and a 1960 graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961, and was honorably discharged in 1963.  He worked for many years as an accountant for Owens of Illinois, which was located in Warsaw, Indiana, formerly Kimble Glass.  Marvin retired in 2000. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his two brothers:  DeWayne (wife Evalyn) Klinger (Columbiana, Ohio); and William (wife Deborah) Klinger (Seymour, Indiana); and his sister-in-Law:  Martha Klinger (Warsaw, Indiana).  He also leaves behind four nieces and four nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother George Klinger who passed away December 2013.          

A graveside service with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126, and active members of the Indiana Army Honor Guard will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Stony Point Cemetery in Atwood, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Don Plank.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Memorial donations in Marvin's memory may be directed to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 306 E. Main Street, Atwood, Indiana  46502 and would be appreciated by the family.
